GOM Player by Gretech is my favorite media player for my laptop and my media center. I recommended this player to friends and family. It was great at playing most video formats out of the box, has a clean default skin, and intuitive keyboard controls. I even tolerated their software update that added banner ads when videos complete playback. I figured a few ads were fair given GOM Player is free to download. But after awhile, the banner ads became distracting. I wanted the ads gone!
How to Remove GOM Player Ads
The steps to removing GOM Player ads is very simple. Because GOM Player is updated on a monthly basis, some of their menus may change. These instructions are valid as of GOM Player 2.3.3.5254 release on June 9, 2016.
- Go to the settings menu
- Go to the General tab (left menu)
- Go to the Logo tab (top menu)
- Uncheck the 'Display Logo when stopped' checkbox.
- Under the Logo Image List, change from '(Default Skin Logo)' to different skin 'gom.jpg'.
