One of the recent simplest recipes I've started to cook is roasted brussel sprouts. Every home cook should have all the basic ingredient already in their pantry: salt and pepper. Spice it up with other herbs you have on hand. Wash and clean off any dead/browning leaves from the brussel sprout.. Prepare the brussel sprouts in less than 5 minutes, and let it roast in the oven.

Roasted brussel sprouts can be enjoyed right out of the oven. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator and served again the next day, either cold or re-heated. I find that cold whole or halves brussel sprouts pair well on a salad with other fixings like slices tomatoes, egg, nuts, beets, and some meat.

I used to roast brussel sprouts in halves, but find it's much easier to cook whole brussel sprouts. Halving them may result in faster cook time, but my experience is more burnt or dried out pieces.
